MARIE-LOUISE (Mama)
Classically trained in Ballet, Tap & Jazz since the age of 4yrs and with decades of national & international stage and competion experience in these genres as her foundation, Marie-Louise was seduced by the Latino music and dance in 2004 and has lived and breathed Salsa ever since! Alongside Petera, she has created Salsa on the Awa's Dance Teams - Roopu Rueda and BacHaka, both managing and performing. She is also the Principal Technical and Dance Instructor for Salsa on the Awa's couples representatives at New Zealand's National Salsa Championships. Marie-Louise has represented Salsa on the Awa as Competition Judge at the New Zealand South Island Salsa Championships 2010/11 & 12 and the New Zealand Salsa National Competitions 2009/10/11 & '12. Again with Petera, they have just recently returned from Sydney Australia where they represented Salsa on the Awa as International Instructors at the last two Sydney Cuban Salsa Congresses.

PETERA (Papa P)
Salsa was once just a passion in Petera's life! But now Latino Dance & Music IS HIS LIFE which he lives with passion! Principal Dance Instructor with Marie-Louise for Salsa on the Awa he is also the creator of Salsa on the Awa's Dance Teams - Roopu Rueda and BacHaka, both managing and performing. He and Dance couple partner - Paula Mosen first represented Whanganui Salsa at the New Zealand Salsa National Competitions in 2006. Petera has recently partnered Rae Foster from Wellington to compete and win the New Zealand Masters Games 50+ Couples 2011. Again with Marie-Louise, they have just recently returned from Sydney Australia where they represented Salsa on the Awa as International Instructors at the last two Sydney Cuban Salsa Congresses.

SUSAN (Sue/SuzyGurl)
Sue's amazingly feminine and fluid body isolations & movements incorporated into her dancing mezmerises and captivates you as she teaches you how to master these moves yourself. Sue is also an accomplished performer being a member of Roopu Rueda - "Salsa con Coco" & "Old Men Can Dance" Teams. Also performing at the New Zealand Pacific Salsa Congress 2008/09 in these Teams and with Couples dance partner Andy Dolling in 2009. Sue's performances extend into the International arena with her appearance with Roopu Rueda - "Salsa con Coco" on stage at the Sydney Salsa Congress in 2009.

WIREMU
Passing on the skill and knowledge he has gained in the 6+ years he has been mastering the art of Salsa Dancing, Wiremu ensure's the guys have all the coolest moves for the dance floor. Wiremu has performed and competed in the Roopu Rueda - "Old Men Can Dance" Team at the New Zealand Pacific Salsa Congress and the New Zealand Masters Games in 2009.

LIDA
Born and raised in Colombia, Lida is a qualified teacher & now lives with her husband & children here in Whanganui where she loves to share her culture and language with you!
